Ender’s Game is a science Fiction action film starring Asa Butterlfield, Heiliee Steinfeld and Harrison Ford. The movie is also directed by Gavin Hood who is a South African and also Directed Wolverine Origins.
The film is also based on the Novel Enders Game which was written in 1985.

So the film starts out in 2086 and the narrator explain how the earth was attacked by an alien species called the Formics. And they were eventually defeated. We then fast forward to 50 years where the movie takes place. Now in order to keep the aliens from the returning, it was decided that only the most brightest and intelligent children are to be trained to work out strategic plans and for combat.
We then meet Ender Wiggin who is a rather bright boy, he surpasses his classmates, is sent into space onto the space station and begins his training to stop the Formics.

Now there is not too much to say about this movie as this is pure science fiction. The special effects are breathtaking, the acting is pretty solid and then there’s the score. If you’re a gamer and you’re familiar with the game Mass Effect then the music will make you feel really comfortable as it seems to share a similar sound and tone as the game.

With that being said this is science fiction aimed mainly at kids but adults can still enjoy it.
Now the best way to sum up the film is Ender’s Game contains a dollop of The Hunger Games, a splash of Percy Jackson, a dash of Harry Potter and a hint of Star Ship Troopers.

So with that, Ender’s Game gets a bug stomping 7 out of 10
